Disposable Hair Towel Material, GSM and Size Guide
A disposable hair towel should be compared by measurable construction and actual wet-use performance. Product names alone do not identify softness, absorbency or strength.
Understand material construction
Non-woven towels may use different fiber blends and manufacturing processes. These choices change hand feel, lint, liquid uptake and wet strength. Ask for the composition and construction used in the quoted sample, then keep that sample as the bulk reference.
Use GSM correctly
GSM describes material weight per square meter, not the total weight of one towel. A large low-GSM towel can weigh more than a smaller high-GSM towel. Always compare GSM and finished dimensions separately.
Match size to application
A compact towel may work for short hair or facial use, while long or thick hair needs more surface area and absorption. Define the intended service and test whether one towel completes it without excessive rubbing or tearing.
Test both dry and wet performance
Check softness and lint when dry, then measure practical absorption, wet strength and surface feel after saturation. Fold and squeeze the towel as a stylist would. Packaging should keep towels clean and easy to dispense.
Define the retail or professional pack
State pieces per pack, folding style, inner bag, label, barcode and carton limit. For export orders, carton dimensions and total volume are part of landed cost.
